Like many great ideas, this one began with a simple conversation: why are there so few places for couples and singles over a certain age to truly enjoy themselves? We still love live music, dancing, and sharing great food and drinks—but the typical club scene just didn’t feel like the right fit anymore.
So we set out to create something different—something special. A place that feels welcoming, relaxed, and memorable. Now in our sixth season, we’re proud to say that vision has come to life.
Finding the perfect setting wasn’t easy. We searched throughout the Lehigh Valley and Pocono region for a space that offered both character and beauty—somewhere with a barn, lodging, open land, and breathtaking views. That search led us here, to the Blue Mountains of Carbon County—24 acres of a former horse farm featuring a historic log and stone building, now transformed into the romantic, award winning five-star Inn at Birch Wilds, and a more than 200-year-old hand-hewn chestnut barn overlooking the mountains.
Working with the natural landscape, we’ve created an outdoor venue that has been called the “Red Rocks of the East.” While it continues to evolve, its charm and atmosphere are already something special. In the fall of 2020, during a time when indoor venues were closing, we took a chance and launched live music events—spreading tables 12 feet apart to create a safe, open-air experience. It was a bold move, but one that paid off.
Both performers and guests have shared how much they love the natural beauty and spacious feel of The Wilds. It’s an experience that feels as good as it sounds.
So gather your friends, find your favorite band, and join us. The music is back—and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Food and drinks are available for purchase. Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
